Making as a Part of Performance
An integral part of the process involved in the presentation of live work is its design. All of the productions made by Oceanallover and Transfigured have been designed by Alex Rigg. This aesthetic has also lead an independant existance through collaboration with other performance companies as set, costume and location design.
Shown below are examples of costume design by Alex for a number of different productions. Also here is included a short vidoe clip of The Tide Machine, a recent collaborative work made with Mark Zygadlo and involving over thirty performers and makers. As with all of the work that the company makes, it is not produced in isolation and requires the help and skill of many people.
