skin piel
the story

flayed man (without sin)

Skin Piel is a dissection of humanity shown using performance and music. The human figure will be presented, in vivo, depicting the body in views both posterior and anterior. In seven numbered illustrations (without sin) will demonstrate the human condition using compositions and captions in the landscape.

Medieval morality players queing for coffee at an airport; master guildsmen down at MFI looking for formica table tops; the inquisition as a quiz show; the monarchy on a package holiday in Ibiza. The event will be flexible in both its content and its setting, allowing the work to become a part of its surroundings. The audience look on like a crowd at a hanging.

Skin Piel will be seen at the Arches near Glasow in 2008 and in Dumfries during the same year. Views will differ.

Figure I (TAB XV) was begun in 2007. TAB XV shows a man at the end of his life, caught between the pages of a book. Skin Piel is his voice and with his own words he will condem himself. This is a story of making and of silence.

Skin Piel (without sin) is presented by Oceanallover.
